Health and safety are measures employers must take protect the mental and physical wellbeing of workers and non-workers. The Health and Safety at Work Act protects employees, customers, and visitors in your premises. Ideally, employers aim to eliminate or significantly prevent accidents happening in the workplace.
''It is of great relevance for HR professionals to always have an in-depth understanding of how safe their workplaces are for guaranteed employee health. Most of HR professionals have aligned themselves along the normal traditional manpower management activities such as leave management, performance management, recruitment, training and development and forgot about the relevance of Occupational Health and Safety to the employment relationship''. (Martin, 2018)
Another meaning of health & safety are many rules & procedures to be followed work place & other public areas. If not followed those rules & regulations, the peoples are in really unsafe area. This is very serious. The organizations Human resources teams are strictly followed those rules & it’s their part of responsibility.

As discussed in this article, it is very important to maintain a safe work environment. By keeping your employees safe and healthy, an organisation can prevent stress and absenteeism. It will also prevent risk of bad reputation and law suits. When employees are aware that their employer is concerned about their safety, their engagement levels will increase. Good article. All the Best!
